The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences handed out its 64th annual primetime Emmy awards on Sunday, Sept. 23 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.?
HBO was the big winner, with a total of 23 awards this year, with CBS in second with 16 and PBS in third with 12. The following is a list of winners in the major categories:

Supporting actress in a comedy series: Julie Bowen, "Modern Family"
